Rooted in Montana. Ready to Serve.

“I am in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection, but with Montana it is love,

...Montana has a spell on me. It is grandeur and warmth.…Of all the states it is my favorite and my love.”

--John Steinbeck

A Montanan who Cares

I’m running for the Montana state house because we deserve representatives that are accountable and committed to serving the people of their districts and state. We need representation that prioritizes the hard working folks of our state, over any political party or special interest group.

Local, working class people know what they need, and I believe it is a representative’s obligation to listen to and work for the people of their district. I would be honored to be that representative for you and district 68.

I’m a born and raised local who is Montanan to my core. I’m the sixth generation of my family to call the Gallatin Valley home. I grew up at the mouth of Bridger canyon on a small Black Angus ranch.

As a kid I spent most of my time skiing at Bridger Bowl, riding my horse and dirt bike, gardening with my family, hiking our local trails, competitive trap shooting, fly fishing, hearing stories about Montana history from my grandfather, and traveling all across our beautiful state and country. It was a childhood colored by many of the incredible things that make our state so unique.

Shaped by our community

I received a high quality Montana education from the Bozeman public school system. All the way from kindergarten at Hawthorne Elementary to graduation from Bozeman High School. After which, I then studied at Montana State University. From there I’ve worked in many different industries including outdoor recreation, emergency medicine, retail sales, food service, construction, lawncare, and commercial driving. I’ve also run my own small landscaping, and photography business.

These days I’m still an avid outdoors woman plus a few more hobbies, like mountain biking, hunting and whitewater rafting, to name a few. When I’m not playing outside, I work as a class B CDL driver, and a ski instructor.

I do my best to give back to my community in big and small ways.  I served as a volunteer on the Belgrade City County Planning Board from 2021-2023. I’ve helped dig and maintain mountain biking trails with SWMBA. I regularly donate blood. I heavily prioritize spending my hard earned dollars at locally owned businesses and on American made goods. And I am an active participant in community planning and development meetings.

A lifetime of Montana Values

I was brought up on old school Montana values; that purple mix of ideals that is unique here. Growing up in a more conservative family fostered a talent for talking with folks of all different backgrounds, and finding common ground with them. The people of Montana have known for a long time that our biggest key to success is working together towards common goals that benefit our local communities.

My family also taught me things like, we work hard and help our neighbors; because it builds a stronger community.

One my dad repeated was, the best way to protect our own freedoms, rights, and liberties is to defend everyone else’s; especially folks we disagree with.

I often heard the classic, balance and compromise get things done, because teamwork makes the dream work.

Near to my heart is, the value of undeveloped nature is infinitely higher than anything that can be built on it. Our state’s pristine and stunning public lands are our most valuable resource. They belong to us; the people of our state and country.

Policy for the people

Growing up like this led to the formation of my core beliefs.

Such beliefs as:

Montana’s state constitution is one of the best nationwide.

We need to prioritize working class folks in policy. The better the average middle class person is doing, the better we all do.

Investing our tax dollars into local systems that build up working class people is one of the best investments we can make. Education, healthcare, infrastructure, veteran services, conservation, etc. are systems that we all benefit from directly and indirectly. Well educated, healthy, and safe people who easily afford the basics are more able to give back to their communities and country.

I trust that we have much more in common than not. We are most powerful and effective when we work together. We are all Montanans, and we can’t forget that most important fact. We the people of this state and country are stronger together.
